PROMISES OF CHRIST
- I
assure you that whoever does not accept the reign
of God like a little child shall not take part in
it. (Mark 10:15)
- I
give you my words, if you are ready to believe that
you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer,
it shall be done for you. (Mark 11:24)
- Blessed
are the poor in spirit, the reign of God is theirs.
- Blessed
too are the sorrowing, they shall be consoled.
- Blest
are the lowly, they shall inherit the land.
- Blest
are they, who hunger and thirst for holiness, they
shall have their fill.
- Blest
are they who show mercy, mercy shall be theirs.
- Blest
are the single-hearted, for they shall see God.
- Blest
too are the peacemakers, they shall be called sons
of God.
- Blest
are those persecuted for holiness' sake, the reign
of God is theirs.
- Blest
are you when they insult you and persecute you and
utter every kind of slander against you because
of me. Be glad and rejoice, for you reward is great
in heaven.
- Whoever
fulfills and teaches these commands shall be great
in the kingdom of God.
- Be
on guard against performing religious acts for people
to see. Otherwise expect no recompense from your
heavenly Father.
- If
you forgive the faults of others, your heavenly
Father will forgive you yours.
- Seek
first his kingship over you, his way of holiness,
and all these will be given you besides.
- The
measure with which you measure will be used to measure
you.
- Ask,
and you will receive.
- Seek
and you will find.
- Knock
and it will be opened to you.
- None
of those who cry out, "Lord, Lord," will enter the
kingdom of God, but only the one who does the will
of my Father in heaven.
- It
shall be done because you trusted. (Mt. 8:18)
- When
they hand you over, do not worry about what you
will say or how you will say it. When the hour comes,
you will be given what you are to say. (Mt. 10:19
- Whoever
acknowledges me before men, I will acknowledge before
my Father in heaven. (Mt. 10:32)
- He
who seeks only himself brings himself to ruin, whereas
he who brings himself to naught for me discovers
who he is. (Mt. 10:39)
- And
I promise you that whoever gives a cup of cold water
to one of these lowly ones because he is a disciple
will not want for his reward. (Mt. 10:42)
- Come
to me, all you who are weary and find life burdensome,
and I will refresh you. (Mt.11:28)
- Take
my yoke upon your shoulders and learn from me, for
I am gentle and humble of heart. Your souls will
find rest, for my yoke is easy and my burden light.
(Mt.11:29-30)
- By
your words you will be acquitted, and by your words
you will be condemned. (Mt. 12:50)
- I
assure you, if you had faith the size of a mustard
seed, you would be able to say to this mountain,
'Move from here to there," and it would move. Nothing
would be impossible for you. (Mt. 17:20)
- Whoever
makes himself lowly, becomes like this child, is
of greatest importance in that heavenly reign. (Mt.
18:4)
- Again
I tell you, if two of you, join your voices on earth
to pray for anything whatever, it shall be granted
you by my Father in heaven. (Mt. 18:19)
- Where
two or three are gathered in my name, there am I
in their midst. (Mt. 18:20)
- Moreover,
everyone who has given up home, brothers and sisters,
father or mother, wife or children or property for
my sake will receive many times as much and inherit
everlasting life. (Mt. 19:29)
- Whoever
exalts himself shall be humbled, but whoever humbles
himself shall be exalted. (Mt.23:12)
- The
man who holds out to the end, however, is the one
who will see salvation. (Mt. 24:13)
- Happy
that servant whom his master discovers a work on
his return! I assure you, he will put him in charge
of all his property. (Mt. 24:26-47)
- The
moral is keep your eyes open, for you know not the
day or the hour. (Mt. 25:13)
- Those
who have, will get more until they grow rich, while
those who have not, will lose even the little they
have. (Mt. 25:29)
- The
king will answer them: "I assure you, as often as
you did it for one of my least brothers, you did
it for me. (Mt. 25:40)
- And
know that I am with you always, until the end of
the world. (Mt. 28:20)
- If
you with all your sins, know how to give your children
good things, how much more will the heavenly Father
give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him. (Lk.11:13)
- He
who is not with me is against me, and he who does
not gather with me scatters. (Lk.11:23)
- In
answer, the man said, 'Sir, leave it another year,
while I hoe around it and manure it; then perhaps
it will bear fruit. If not, it shall be cut down.
(Lk. 13:8-9)
- Try
to come in through the narrow door. Many, I tell
you will try to enter and be unable. (Lk.13:24)
- No,
when you have a reception, invite beggars and the
crippled, the lame and the blind. You should pleased
that they cannot repay you, for you will be repaid
in the resurrection of the just. (Lk.14:13-14)
- If
you cannot be trusted with elusive wealth, who will
trust you with lasting? And if you have not been
trustworthy with someone else's money, who will
give you what is your own? (Lk.16:11-12)
- The
son of man has come to search out and save what
was lost. (Lk.19:10)
- Yes,
God so loved the world that he gave his only Son,
that whoever believes in him may not die but may
have eternal life. (John 3:13)
- God
is Spirit, and those who worship him must worship
in Spirit and truth. (John 4:24)
- I
solemnly assure you, the man who hears my word and
has faith in him who sent me possesses eternal life.
He does not come under condemnation but has passed
from death to life. (John 5:24)
- I
myself am the bread of life. No one who comes to
me shall ever be hungry; no one who believes in
me shall ever thirst. (John 6:35)

that the Father gives me shall come to me; no one
who comes will I ever reject. (John 6:37)

who lives and believes in me will never die. (John
11:25-26)

I am, there will my servant be. If anyone serves
me, him the Father will honor. (John 12:26)
- And
when I am lifted up from the earth, I will draw
everyone to myself. (John 12:32)
- I
solemnly assure you, no slave is greater than his
master is, and no messenger outranks the one who
sent him. Once you know all these things, blest
will you be if you put them into practice. (John
13:16)
- I
am indeed going to prepare a place for you, and
then I shall come back to take you with me, that
where I am you may also be. (John 14:3)
- I
solemnly assure you, the man who has faith in me
will do the works I do, and greater far than these.

whatever you ask in my name I will do, so as to
glorify the Father in the Son. (John 14:13)

you love me and obey the commands I give you, I

Paraclete - to be with you always. (John 14:15-16)

who obeys the commandments he has from me is the
man who loves me; and he who loves me will be loved
by my Father. I too will love him and reveal myself
to him. (John 14:21)

who loves me will be true to my word, and my Father
will love him; we will come to him and make our
dwelling place with him. (John 14:23)

am the vine, you are the branches. He, who lives
in me and I in him, will produce abundantly, for
apart from me you can do nothing. (John 15:5)

you live in me and my words stay part of you - you
may ask what you will - it will be done for you.
(John 15:7)
- When
he comes, however, being the spirit of truth he
will guide you to all truth. He will not speak on
his own, but will speak only what he hears and will
announce to you the things to come. (John 16:13)
